More About Kojak’s

The name "Kojak's" comes from Bill (JW) Forney, who was Chief of Detectives in Midwest City, Oklahoma. A Super Sleuth! When he left the police force in the early 70's he went into the BBQ business, "House of Ribs" opened across from Tinker A.F.B. The nickname stuck! Bill's brother, Bud Forney, opened "Kojak's House of Ribs" in April 1978 and used Bill's recipe for the spare ribs.
